- Description:People in Luhanks face an ongoing war and now the coronavirus pandemic The rebel-controlled areas in Eastern Ukraine have been hit hard by both the war and COVID-19. People living on the front-line can not cross into Ukraine at the moment to collect their pension, as many points of contact are closed, and people in those areas have no means of transport. The mostly elderly people are supported by the red cross. Schools in the area are closed because of Covid-19, still there is shelling, and you see bullets holes. So now with the line of contact being closed those people have lost sometimes a big part of their incomes. And those are mostly the same people we are already supporting with food passes all the project we have, because many of them are on the frontline, stuck there, they don´t have a way of transport, they do not have a car, the buses sometimes do not go there anymore. Those people who were already vulnerable are even more vulnerable now because of this. They lost sometimes half of their income, that is complicated for them". - WS Office of ORF correspondent Christian Wehrschuetz, during skype interview - SOUNDBITE (English) Cyril Jaurena, representative of the Red Cross in Donetsk via Skype: "We have zero additional access to any facility, prison, really zero." - VS Red cross deliveries
