The Ischgl cluster, is the biggest one in Austria, around 611 infections in Austria are connected to the ski resort Shotlist -SOUNDBITE (German) Franz Allerberger, Head of the Human Medicine Division of AGES (Austrian Agency for Health and Food Safety) : “For us the so called Cluster S – the Ischgl-outbreak - includes St. Anton, Galthür, Serfaus, St. Christoph – these persons were infected there as a primary generation, we also count among Cluster S when the infected comes home and infects his wife – this is the secondary generation and when she infects her son view days later, this is the tertiary generation. These infections happen in these après ski bars where people don’t keep one meter, one and a half meter of distance. That’s the main problem. - SOUNDBITE (German) Franz Allerberger, Head of the Human Medicine Division of AGES (Austrian Agency for Health and Food Safety) : “In many cases the day of diagnosis is often without importance, what it’s all about is the day when the illness begins, then you can draw conclusions about who has contracted the disease from whom and we subline the persons got infected by the direct contact. “ - SOUNDBITE (German) Franz Allerberger, Head of the Human Medicine Division of AGES (Austrian Agency for Health and Food Safety) : "The DJ and finally our barman. The only reason why he was presented to the media, he was the first diagnosed, because he was so ill – these are all people who are maximum 40-50 years old, they are all completely healthy, they work, he is the only one who saw a doctor and therefor was diagnosed". “We know that from the 4th on we had tourists who had tested positive, but this bartender had it put on a label. These are Swiss, Dutch, Norwegian, and other staff members. Here you see two imported cases in blue, they were diagnosed in Ischgl, two ERASMUS students, a Norwegian and his girlfriend, who were not infected in Ischgl because they just got here, but in Bologna where they were doing their Erasmus semester, they only came for ski holidays to Ischgl.
