- Description:Siginifcand reduction in public trasport numbers as people mostly stay at home The timetable of the Austrian Federal Railways (Österreichische Bundesbahnen ÖBB / OEBB) has been changed to the Sunday timetable since this week. Among the ÖBB / OEBB staff, there is a kind of “Everyday is Sunday” mood, as the train stations and trains are quite empty, just like on Sundays. So-called long trains are used at peak times to ensure the safety distance between the passengers. For train attendants, the job has changed a bit: Checking tickets has become less, the distance to the passengers has become bigger. But even if only a few people are on the move - the cleaning staff now has a lot to do. Particular attention is currently paid to the cleaning and disinfection of handrails and ticket machines.
