- Description:Hungary opens border for citizens from Romania, Bulgaria and Serbia At noon Wednesday the situation at the border to Hungary relaxed slowly, as Hungary opened its border for citizens from Romania, Bulgaria and Serbia to transit the country. Still there are checks on each driver on the border. The border will be open for them until 0500 in the morning, then they will close the border again. Austrian Interior Minister Karl Nehammer is at the border and said it was a challenging situation, as Hungary closed the border because they had doubts that the citizens from Bulgaria, Romania and Serbia would get entrance into their home country.
