- Title: 120 Austria border traffic jams
- Date: 16th March 2020
- Description:Germany start border controls with Austria and Switzerland On the border crossing in Suben, Upper Austria towards Bavaria a long traffic jam built up. Drivers reported they had to wait at least four hours to cross the border. German police closed the highway exits up to the check point. Each individual car is checked, and only Germans can enter, or other nationals with working permit or important reason. The trucks are checked by random. But in the morning the traffic jams build up to several kilometres from Suben to Ort im Innkreis (approximately 10 km). Also, on the small border crossing the controls are tight. Police control every vehicle entering Germany. It is a similar situation on the border to Germany in Vorarlberg. On the A14 towards Bregenz and Germany long traffic jams have occurred.
