- Summary: British Academy Film Awards 2014 British Academy Film Awards Ceremony
- Description:Jeremy Irons and HRH The Duke of Cambridge (Prince William) present the Fellowship Award to Helen Mirren at the British Academy Film Awards 2014, held at the Royal Opera House, London, on 16 February, 2014 / Acceptance speech Helen Mirren - Thank you. I just want to blow a kiss to my husband tonight who can't be here, such a support (blows kiss), thank you. My journey to this place right here right now began with a great teacher, Alice Welding who died 2 weeks ago aged 102, she revealed to me the power of literature, the power of poetry, the power of imagination, she alone was the person who encouraged me to become an actor. Thanking Mrs Welding and all the great teachers who've inspired the great people here in this beautiful room. Let's all thank those teachers all of us together.... Going to finish with the words of a great writer... So as I foretold you, our revels now are ended, and these our actors were all spirits and are melted into air, into thin air ... we are such stuff as dreams are made on ... my little life is rounded with this honour, thank you
