- Description:14:32:35 - A01. HRN-718 In: 14.32.35 out: 14.32.52 Sound Bite: Elijah Wood It is, well its exciting, it can make things kind of difficult in regards to doing press and promoting for both of them but it is, I cant complain, Im happy to have two films out around the same time and two very different films, its nice. 14:33:09 - A02. HRN-718 In: 14.33.09 out: 14.33.56 Sound Bite: Elijah Wood Most of them I didnt get a chance to work with yeah (talks) Yeah a majority of the scenes that I have with Brittanys character I did with Brittany and I worked with Robin a lot and the Adele penguins who are voiced by these incredible Latino comedians. So we did all of those Adele and Mumble sequences together which was pretty important I think because they were so reliant on the interplay between those characters and mumble in kind of the middle of it all that I think it would have been kind of difficult and cut that together in such a way that it would feel organic so Im glad that it worked out that way and it gave me a chance to work with Robin Williams who Im a huge fan of so that was pretty amazing to watch. 14:33:58 - A03. HRN-718 In: 14.33.58 out: 14.34.05 Sound Bite: Elijah Wood They did, yeah we always had cameras on us for mainly for reference to the animators. 14:34:08 - A04. HRN-718 In: 14.34.08 out: 14.35.01 Sound Bite: Elijah Wood I wasnt looking for it to be honest, I think I was so overwhelmed by finally seeing the film for the first time. You know the thing thats interesting about doing animation is you spend such a concentrated amount of time in a, in a recording studio in front of a microphone lucky to have a couple cast members if there available around you. So its this kind of relatively solitary experience without any kind of reference beyond drawings and maybe animatics to give you an idea of what its going to look like. So actually seeing it for the first time is really the first time youre seeing the character kind of coming to life, which is such a rewarding experience. But at the same time I wasnt really paying attention to every single detail because I was kind of taking the whole thing in. 14:35:18 - A05. HRN-718 In: 14.35.18 out: 14.36.14 Sound Bite: Elijah Wood Its like the gapping whole of animation has been unlocked, theres a lot (talks) yeah its interesting. I think its great you know anytime that there, that a film medium or kind of story telling that is really interesting becomes popular you know it gives way to many more different kinds of films within the same vein with different perspectives, different kinds of animation. So that I think has been really exciting. But like anything whenever theres a massive flux of one thing you, there not, they cant all be amazing, and they cant be unique so thats I think part of the issue now, theres certainly a lot of them. And there happens to be a lot of talking animal movies too. 14:36:20 - A06. HRN-718 In: 14.36.20 out: 14.36.47 Sound Bite: Elijah Wood Yeah, yeah I finished a movie earlier this year called Day Zero which should come out sometime next year. Its funny, its sort of similar in tone kind of to Bobby in that its about the draft, its actually about if there was a draft now, its about three best friends who are kind of drafter on the same day and kind of what happens to there lives as they have the thirty days before there meant to serve so. I did that earlier and then I have a couple of things in the works for next year so.
