- Description:15:24:46 - A01. HRN-644 In: 15.24.46 Out: 15.25.15 Sound Bite: Hugh Jackman Well I feel really lucky with the opportunities Ive had but even three years I could have written the script of my career, I dont know if I think about the last year working with Christopher Nolan on this movie or Darren Aronofshy or Woody Allen Im about to work with Baz Luhrman its I might have even thought a few years ago aww pull it back a bit thats probably a bit to much. Its really been phenomenal, Im very very blessed and appreciative of it. 15:25:21 - A02. HRN-644 In: 15.25.21 Out: 15.25.53 Sound Bite: Hugh Jackman Well we had the summer in London last year and then worked on this one the beginning of this year so yeah its good my agents going to get a nice hefty bonus at the end of the year (talks) Yeah no we know each other very well, we became very good friends on Scoop and shes shes a great girl and we have a lot in common you know we both love song and dance and musicals and I cant wait till audiences really discover her singing talent cause shes really extraordinary. 15:25:55 - A03. HRN-644 In: 15.25.55 Out: 15.26.07 Sound Bite: Hugh Jackman I dont know if shes in one or not, I every time I get a script maybe a musical I kind of talk to her about it so hopefully Ill be able to convince her one of these days. 15:26:23 - A04. HRN-644 In: 15.26.23 Out: 15.26.47 Sound Bite: Hugh Jackman You know well for me that is the joy of our job. I love stage, I wouldnt want to sacrifice either if I had the choice and so lately Ive had the choice so it really feeds me. You know doing stage stuff theres something very elemental about it about an actor and its a wonderful experience. Its hard work but if for me its the ideal cocktail. 15:27:00 - A05. HRN-644 In: 15.27.00 Out: 15.27.54 Sound Bite: Hugh Jackman I can say that every point in my career that I have been turning down heaps of good scripts but right at the moment Im not complaining at all but better scripts are coming my way which is a good sign. Buts its hard to say no to them when they come, it is, because theres not a lot of great scripts around and this is one of those movies and one of those scripts that just, when I read it I was like this is like nothing Ive ever seen before. This is so different and its, theres such a great, like the secret to the end of this movie I dont think anyones gonna see coming and I think more people have been, I think the message out of Hollywood over the last couple of years is audiences want something fresh, they want a reason to go to the movies. Its not a given that theyre going to go and see everything, So I think this movies one of those. - 15:27:59 - A06. HRN-644 In: 15.27.59 Out: 15.28.32 Sound Bite: Hugh Jackman Well I think most magicians have a slight obsessive nature because most kids at some point are given a magic box to play with you know for a week, to weeks they play with it to try and get a magic trick but what takes someone beyond that to spend the next six years largely locked in a bathroom in front of a mirror practicing there slight of hand. It really thats an interesting thing and I think both these characters, its a great study and obsession for what it can do to you.
