- Description:Two women who have never met agree to swap homes, children and husbands for two weeks to see what they can learn about their own lives. The women have to cope with a new spouse,be mother to other people's children and then meet up with the other couple at the end of the two weeks to tell each other how it all went. During the first week the new wife is expected to do everything that the real wife does at home and to the same standard whether they agree with it or not. The second week then brings about the opportunity for the new wives to show these families how they do things and how they think they can improve the family's lives. The families, usually coming from very opposite worlds, inevitably clash on issues such as child rearing, house keeping and life style choices Narrator: Ken Lorimer Produced and Directed by: Sarah Spencer (Episode three) Kellie and Raphael have been together for two years and live in Peckham,London,Raph is step father to Kellie's three children; Asha,Jesse and Joel. Since being diagnosed with breast cancer four years ago,Kellie Ansel makes sure she meditates and practices yoga everyday on top of working as a teacher and bringing up her children. Kellie is a vegan and expects her family to follow her example, she also believes in equality so gets everyone in the house to do their fair share. Justin and Maxine have been together for seven years, live in Battersey and have a two-year-old son called Dray. Justin is also step-father to Maxine's girls; Antonella and Amy. Maxine is a full-time house wife and cooks all the meals for Justin who is a salesman in the timber trade. Justin will only eat chips and junk food and hates anything fresh and all vegetables. Maxine has a cleaning job that starts at 5.30 everyday and then spends the rest of her time cooking and doing the household chores. In this episode Kellie and Justin both have to face their demons about not being in control and getting their own way all the time when they are forced to live together for two weeks. At first it seems that Justin is the tyrant but he eventually comes round to a new way of thinking and transforms himself into a humble and appreciative husband. Kellie, however, refuses to see that there are any similarities between them and appears to have learnt nothing by the end of the swap. Both Raph and Maxine recognise that they do everything for their partners and agree that they deserve a little more appreciation. They get on very well and Maxine manages to take charge in the second week and gets the whole family out together and even eating meat at a barbeque. By the end of the swap Justin and Maxine's relationship is unrecognisable but Kellie and Raph leave arguing and unchanged.
