- Description:Dispatches: Iraq: the women's story,an Iraqi woman goes under cover to report the real story of what life is like in Iraq for women since the war. The woman who does not reveal her identity for safety reasons explores several areas where innocent lives have been lost due to the American bombings. Women struggle to cope with large families left penniless when their husbands and fathers are killed. Unemployment is high and there seems to be no hope of improvements in the near future. The reporter meets a female doctor who manages to save lives by working in a bomb destroyed hospital,a family who have lost their husband and father and an eight-year-old girl who was caught up in an attack by the Americans and subsequently separated from her family for three months and questioned by the Americans about terrorists. She also meets female university students who have received death threats from extremist groups who are becoming ever more prevalent in the cities.
